La Espailla Sports Club
This place offers a rich maritime tradition, cultural activities and the opportunity to enjoy regattas in an authentic and vibrant atmosphere.
Club Deportivo La Espailla has its origins in APLEM, the Association of Fishermen of the East Coast of Malaga, registered in the Registry of Associations in November 1998.
The sports section of APLEM was created in 2009 with the intention of promoting activities related to traditional Jábega boat rowing.
The club combines its sporting activities with social and cultural activities, especially focused on those that are directly related to marine activity but not limited exclusively to them.
It represents the most deeply rooted fishing neighborhood in Malaga, where the Jábegas Regattas have always been present since its transformation from a fishing boat to a sports boat.
