Underwater experiences

Rio Verde random
Near the Port of Bajadilla in Marbella, a large tower survives, rising 20 meters above the sea, a relic of the city's mining past.
It is an easy dive with little current and a maximum depth of 12 m, where you can visit an old shipwreck, the remains of a sunken crane and the underwater hermitage of the Virgin of Carmen.
The route can begin with the remains of the shipwreck where you will see common sea bream, soldier sea bream, gilthead sea bream, octopus... Then, visit the remains of the loading crane of the ships that collected the coal that arrived in wagons from the mine. At the end, you will find the Virgin of Carmen, protected by a circular container.
As you go around the base in a westerly direction, you will reach a pile of stones full of anemones and remains of the tower's staircase. Triggerfish and small pollock are often seen here, and on the seabed are abundant starfish, sea cucumbers, and sharp-toothed conger eels.
Around the tower there are concentrations of gorgonians, and with a lot of luck you might spot the stars of the place: the seahorses.
