Senda Azul

Surf Coast
This is an archaeological complex with a life that developed between the first and sixth centuries AD. The enclave revolved around a villa of whose residential area we so far have only found some thermal baths.
This building was accessed by a monumental staircase that even today preserves the remnants of parietal paintings, and that converged in an arched courtyard in which the bases of its twelve columns are preserved, and paved with a polychrome mosaics with geometric motifs.
Regarding the industrial part of the enclave, worth mentioning is the presence of a pottery workshop consisting of five kilns, the four largest, which had a chamber with a central pillar. Next to these kilns were two dumping areas and a salting factory composed of a group of eight basins and two adjoining rooms.
